15. Man vs Machine Learning - Captaincy Fails Prove Costly

 The Machine has slightly extended its lead on my team to 9 points now after a very average gameweek for both the teams.

 The Machine's Team

• Gameweek 9
• Vardy captain was a flop
• Owning Bruno and Digne was good enough for the machine to get more than my team
• Mccarthy has been the unsung hero of this team
• Red arrow from 580k to 625k

• Gameweek 10
• Zaha's illness means he makes away and in comes Grealish
• No defender is worth a hit to get rid of Digne so Kilman will come on for him
• Not owning Salah could prove costly
• Vardy is captain vs Fulham

My Team

• Gameweek 9
• Ended up doing KdB and DCL in for Kane and Salah for a hit
• The hit to get rid of Salah proved useless with KdB blanking and Dallas getting 5 on the bench
• DCL, Son and Robertson saved the gameweek with double digit returns
• Captain Rashford was a flop, missing a great chance from Bruno
• Red arrow from 690k to 836k

• Gameweek 10
• No move has been made yet
• Son or Rashford to Salah is the main option I am considering 
• Either KdB or Salah will have the armband

14. Man vs Machine Learning - Mo Salah vs No Salah

The Machine has crossed my team and taken the lead after a fairly good gameweek for both, each team getting above 70 points.

 The Machine's Team

• Gameweek 8
• Bruno Fernandes was the biggest game changer, getting a whopping 17 points
• Kane captain returned late for a decent return
• Salah, Zaha, Bamford and Chilwell ticked along with attacking returns
• Southampton's defensive form continued with a Mccarthy clean sheet
• Green arrow from 1.02 Million to 580k

• Gameweek 9
• Vardy and Ziyech in for Salah and Wilson for a hit has been done
• There is no clear way of getting Salah back easily but looks like the Machine is being greedy
• Vardy captain vs Liverpool and Kane vice-captain vs Man City (!)
• Looks like Bowen will make way soon with his name dropping down the list

My Team

• Gameweek 8
• Did Grealish in for Pulisic last week and he made his debut with an assist
• Was a good gameweek overall, but benching Watkins was painful
• Walker Peters, Martinez and Bamford got some much needed budget returns
• Rashford should have got more but at least he got an assist
• Captain Kane with a late, late winner helped me cross 70 points
• Green arrow from 1.02 Million to 690k

• Gameweek 9
• No move has been made yet
• Salah, Kane and Son are potential outs
• KdB, Calvert Lewin, Vardy and Bruno are potential ins, with Bruno a captain option as well
• Captaincy is on Rashford but he may not start so a lot could change between now and the deadline

13. Man vs Machine Learning - Stop the Counting of Points!

The Machine caught up to me last week and looks likely to overtake me this week as both teams finished Gameweek 7 on exactly 401 points. If only the counting of points was stopped midway through the gameweek!

 The Machine's Team

• Gameweek 7
• Salah and Kane returned but Wilson was the real hero
• Saiss didn't play, so Kilman came on
• Chilwell with another clean sheet the only other return
• Small green arrow from 1.07 million to 1.03 million

• Gameweek 8
• Digne in for Saiss is the suggested move
• I would have personally waited one more week but I guess with Saiss out of the team and United not looking exceptionally good, the Machine went for it
• Kane captain, Salah vice captain
• Bowen, Bamford, Zaha and Wilson have decent fixtures to get attacking returns
• No Son could hurt this week

My Team

• Gameweek 7
• Did James Rodriguez and Calvert Lewin to Rashford and Bamford last week in the last few hours - aggressive move, but it did not work out, especially with Grealish doing so well
• Salah, Chilwell and Kane one return each
• Dallas and Watkins goals the other returns
• Red arrow from 850k to 1.02 million

• Gameweek 8
• No move has been made yet. Pulisic is injured so that is a potential transfer
• Grealish and Ziyech are the main options but keeping 2 transfers for the international break is also tempting
• I switched to Salah captain in the last minute last week, but almost certainly leaving it on Kane this time

And after 7 weeks of ups and downs, both the teams go into GW 8 exactly tied on points
